Structural Engineering AssociatesInc. currently has a position available in San Antonio, Texas for:

Transportation Project Manager

SEA is seeking a positive, self-motivated, energetic, team player to join us as a Transportation Project Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Start and grow SEA’s transportation department
  • Assist senior staff and marketing staff in the identification of statewide and local agency pursuits and writing technical aspects of proposals
  • Develop client relationships
  • Manage multiple projects, attend project meetings, and interact with clients
  • Prepare detailed engineering designs for roadway and/or hydraulic projects
  • Oversee the work of CAD designers and engineers

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Professional Engineering License in the State of Texas
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in roadway and/or hydraulic design
  • Precertification in either TxDOT roadway design work categories: 4.1.1 and 4.2.1, and/or TxDOT hydraulic design work categories 10.1.1, 10.2.1, 10.3.1 and 10.5.1.
  • Hands-on experience with MicroStation
  • Hands-on experience with roadway design software (such as GEOPAK) and/or hydraulic design software (such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS and FHWA programs)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in pursuing and winning work on TxDOT solicitations
  • Positive relationships with potential clients
  • Hands-on OpenRoads experience
  • Precertification in TxDOT work categories: 3.1.1, 3.2.1, 3.3.1, 4.3.1, 4.4.1 and others
  • Experience in bridge and/or retaining wall design

CADD Technician

Seeking a positive, self-motivated, energetic, team player to join our team as a Structural CADD Technician/Detailer.  Duties would include developing layouts and details for structural contract plans and shop plans for commercial and transportation projects.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma from an accredited institution
  • Proficient in AutoCAD versions 2017 or later
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Autodesk Revit experience
  • MicroStation V8i experience
  • ProjectWise experience
  • Certification in CADD from a Technical School or College
  • Experience preparing contract plans and shop plans
